I put up my first Web site in 1996 or 1997. I coded the HTML by hand and created rudimentary graphics in Corel Paint Shop Pro. In the early 2000s I redid the site from the ground up in Microsoft FrontPage. That site persists at jimgrey.net. I haven’t updated it at all in ten years.
When I started using my current hosting company, they charged something like $30 a year to host my site. Now they charge an insane $169. That’s propelling me to do something different.
It’s time to let my old HTML site go. If you’d like to see it, do so right away, as my term with my host ends June 11.
I am either going to change this site’s address from blog.jimgrey.net to jimgrey.net, or I will create a new homepage on WordPress.com and make that the new jimgrey.net.
