On our recent weekend in Cincinnati, I brought my Nikon Df along with the 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-D Nikkor lens attached. Now that I’ve figured out to set the camera to ISO 3200 with this lens, I get good shots every time.

From our hotel, we could see the Roebling suspension bridge. It still carries vehicular traffic after all these years. It opened in 1867.

We spent some time in the Clifton neighborhood, where you’ll find the oldest operating Skyline Chili restaurant. Cincinnati has its own take on chili, and Skyline is arguably the best known chain of chili joints to come from that city. It’s the only one with stores in Indianapolis, at any rate.

The Esquire Theater is a stunner in Clifton.

I made a photo I like a lot at this theater.

We stopped for a coffee in Clifton. I liked this scene next to the cash register.

We visited Findlay Market, the city’s longtime farmers market. Here’s a colorful street across from the market.

We stopped at the nearby Washington Park, where we caught these girls kicking around a soccer ball.

We wrapped our trip in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, where we were greeted by this not-so-cheerful mural.

We couldn’t find a good local place open that Sunday afternoon, so we stepped in here. We have one of these in Indianapolis, too. Their claim to fame is fried chicken with hot honey.
