If you thought my original chocolate mug cake was easy then this Oreo mug cake is going to blow your mind! Two ingredients and you have the easiest dessert to squash those chocolate cravings!
Oreo Mug Cake: The Long-Awaited Flavor Addition
Welcome another mug cake flavor to the lineup! This Oreo mug cake joins several other flavors of mug cakes including funfetti, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate peanut butter, and more!
I have always wanted to make a cookies and cream mug cake. Cookies and cream is my favorite flavor for desserts so naturally, I should have an Oreo mug cake, right? The wait is over and I present to you, my Oreo mug cake that only uses two ingredients — Oreo cookies and milk. Yup, I’m pretty stoked at how easy this is to make, and I think you will be too!
Recipe Tips
- Everyone’s microwave is different and it is impossible to tell you exactly how long to cook this for. The 1 minute mark is only a suggestion. If it’s still liquid after a minute, then put it back in the microwave to cook another 10-15 seconds.
- Different brands of cookies and cream sandwich cookies are different sizes and it also depends on if you’re getting “double-stuffed” or “triple-stuffed”, etc. This recipe works with regular, original Oreo’s. It certainly can work with other brands and varieties but please be aware of discrepancies and yielding different results.

Serving Suggestions
I like adding more crushed Oreo’s on top of the mug cake, a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream for even more cookies and cream flavor (or even espresso chocolate chip ice cream — doesn’t that sound so good?), or whipped cream!
Storage Instructions
Since this is a single-serve cake, you likely won’t have leftovers! In the off-chance you do, you can cover the mug and refrigerate it for 1 day. To reheat, put it back in the microwave and warm through. Do take note that the texture might not resemble the original texture this mug cake was supposed to have.
