Wire cages

I’ve shot a handful of rolls of Kodak ColorPlus over the last few years but have yet to really click with it. There’s always been something off about the color to me. Not on every shot, but on enough shots that I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep going with this film.

I had one roll left, so I popped it into my Pentax ME. I hadn’t used my 50mm f/1.4 SMC Pentax-M lens in a long time, so I mounted it.

I got good color on most of this roll. This image is one of the exceptions. It shows exactly what I mean by the colors being a little off. It’s as if they’ve gone ever so slightly pastel, even the tans and browns.

But otherwise, everything worked out great.

I’m glad that this roll mostly worked out. Even so, I think from now on I’ll buy ColorPlus only when I get it on a good sale or when Kodak Gold 200 and Fujicolor 200 aren’t available. Those films deliver well for me every time.
