Moving day

I know I only not long ago stated that I&#8217d had adequate of expired film for a though. But then a digital camera I purchased arrived with nine rolls of expired Kodak colour unfavorable movie in ISO 200 and 400 guises. The seller had no thought how prolonged it was expired and couldn&#8217t thoroughly vouch for the conditions it was saved in. Offered how expensive color film is these days, I experienced to come across out whether or not this film was any great.

I hadn&#8217t shot my Nikon F2A in a when, so I obtained it out. I spooled in a roll of Ultramax 400 from the stash, mounted my 50mm f/2 AI Nikkor lens, and went taking pictures. I felt positive I&#8217d will need to overexpose to triumph over the demons of expiration, so I set the digicam at EI 100. Looky here, I acquired some wonderful benefits.

I ran all of these as a result of Radiant Photo and manufactured absolutely sure to test the noise reduction box. It did a great task of brightening these images and minimizing some of the grain. It couldn&#8217t, nonetheless, restore missing shadow depth.

I&#8217ll overexpose the rest of these rolls by two stops as properly as I shoot through them. One particular of the rolls is of that &#8220Higher Definition&#8221 ISO 400 film I shot the moment ahead of (images listed here) I&#8217m on the lookout ahead to making an attempt that movie once more. It&#8217ll be wonderful to use this film up for enjoyable, everyday taking pictures.
